Estates - Grounds maintenance service standard
We provide grounds maintenance services to council
blocks and estates.
Our grounds maintenance service is provided by a number of
team’s who carry out the following tasks:
- Grass cutting
- Shrub pruning
- Plant suitable plants in the right locations
- Shrub bed maintenance
- Chemical and hand weeding of soft landscape areas.
Our Grounds maintenance staff work with our caretakers to ensure
all grass areas and flower/shrub beds are cleared of litter and
other debris prior to maintenance
We cut the grass on our estates between April and October
.During long periods of dry weather, we will cease
grass cutting. We will not cut grass during heavy rainfall or, if
the ground is too wet.
Shrub and trees maintenance
Shrub areas and hedges are generally pruned during our winter
works schedule from November to March. Although pruning can be
carried out at other times to comply with Health and Safety issues
and assist in crime prevention. During pruning works, shrubs will
be cut back to make sure they do not overhang other areas such as
neighbouring properties and pathways.
Tree pits are cleared from weeds
Our caretakers remove leaves from beds, clear grass areas and
paths from litter and debris and weed hard standing areas
If you have any comments or complaints about the work carried
out on your estate then please contact the grounds maintenance team
at Ascham Direct on 0208 496 4197.
