Support from Benefits Agency

If you are entitled to benefits such as Income Support or Job Seeker’s Allowance, the Benefits Agency can help with interest payments due on loans that you have to take out to pay the service charges for certain types of work done to your building. Debt advice

If you can’t afford to pay your service charge or have any other debts, we can arrange a confidential appointment with a debt advisor from the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB). For more information about this or to arrange an appointment please contact the Right to Buy and Leasehold Services team. You can also get advice from the CAB online.

Credit Union

Residents can go to the Waltham Forest Community Credit Union for help with money problems.

You may be eligible for a low cost loan that would be cheaper than a loan from stores or finance companies.
